Mites
 
 Infestations can origin a reduction in egg laying, fair combs and wattles, anaemia and in extreme cases, or with very young birds, death. Infestations also origin plumage decrease, usually on the back, because the pullet will generally over preen and pull out her plumage in an effort to get respite. Sometimes the chicken's skin will be annoyed and red.

Lice
 Lice are minute, wingless insects extending from 1/25 of an inch to 1/4 inch long and are commonly either straw tinted or yellow-brown. There are a number of distinct species of lice and one bird may owner up to 15 distinct species at the same time. Lice are usually owner exact and and spend their entire life on one owner. Bird or chicken lice won't infect humans or other animals, but are highly contagious between birds. If one of your birds have lice, chances are the rest of the flock will be infested as well.


 They have masticating mouth components. You can see a Lice as it moves on the skin by parting the feathers, particularly at the head, under the wings and round the vent. They feed on dry skin scales and feathers.

Remedy
 
Products such as Sevin dirt have been utilised competently on both coops and exactly on the birds. Avoidance

stopping a mite and Lice infestation is difficult. Early detection continues the best way to command these pests. hold the coops and bedding clean and new, periodically scrub the coop and nesting cartons with lather and water, dust the coop, bedding and your flock as a preventative measure now and then and frequently examine your flock to apprehend the problem before damage is done to the chickens.
